# Compare three directions for Waterfront 2035

In Phase 1, you shared how you use the waterfront today and what you'd like it to become in the future. We've taken that feedback and developed three possible directions for the waterfront. Each one takes a different approach and involves different trade-offs.

As you review each direction, tell us how well it reflects your vision for the waterfront and what you like or dislike about it.

All three directions meet the City's required flood protection standards. That part has already been decided. What remains open is how the waterfront looks, feels, and functions for the community.

Gives more of the shoreline back to nature. Restored marsh and small beaches absorb storm surges, with quiet trails, lookouts and places to watch wildlife. There are fewer built facilities and event spaces than in the other directions.
